September 4-5, 2004, Vaegtergaarden, Femmoeller Beach.
Upon request fewer years should pass before another event was to take place. Especially the young generation was pretty keen. Last time many of the young ones had their difficulties in recognizing a distant cousin or other family members, and after seven years it was to be. Although Molskroen has always been close to our hearts, they could not offer the capacity, and Vaegtergaarden became again the natural choice. The program was much the same as last time, and again the weather was to be the crucial factor. And we were not let down. A Danish indian summer when they are best and at least as good as in 1997. As expected we could not match the record participation from 1997, but a turn out of more than 100 including kids is pretty good. We were sorry that the US family could not make it this time, but Norway, Canada and Sweden were represented.
Everything went well, on Saturday afternoon an arrangement was held on the beach for the young ones. Games as Petanque, round ball and Kupp (king's game) were available, and ponies for an easy ride for the kids. That was a hit.
In the evening we had a successful festive dinner dance.
On Sunday morning we met again at Provstgaarden, where the Danish specialiality the hot-dog stand in a half timbered version took care of the lunch.
